Two-Storey Apartment 200 m² | 4 Bedrooms | Planty Park, Old Town
The entire top two floors of a 19th-century Kraków townhouse containing only two apartments. No stranger ever passes through the staircase, and Planty Park begins just around the corner.
Who it's for
The size and layout are designed for a family that needs four separate bedrooms and a dedicated workspace, while living in the very centre of the city rather than commuting into it. It works well for relocation to Kraków, for executive contracts, and anywhere a move-in-ready interior and a prestigious address matter.
Layout across two levels
The living area occupies the first level: a living room visually connected to the dining area, a separate kitchen, a study and a bathroom. The study has its own door and easily serves as a fourth bedroom or a guest room, depending on your needs.
The sleeping area sits above. Three bedrooms measuring 22 m², 22 m² and 16 m² are large enough for a double bed, a desk and a wardrobe in each, with no compromises. This level also has a bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower.
Each level has its own access to a balcony facing the courtyard, so both balconies overlook the quiet side of the building.
Furnishings and technical details
The apartment is furnished and ready to move into with nothing but a suitcase. The rooms are air-conditioned. The kitchen is fully equipped: oven, gas hob, dishwasher and fridge. A washing machine and a tumble dryer are also available. Gas central heating stays under the residents' own control. The building has CCTV, and the apartment has an internet connection.
A storage unit in the basement belongs to the apartment, and an outdoor cabinet on the balcony provides extra space for seasonal items. A parking space can additionally be rented on the fenced grounds by the Sokół Gymnastic Society.
The building
A townhouse dating from 1889, fully renovated. Two floors, no lift. With only three units in the entire building, there is effectively no corridor traffic and you actually know your neighbours.
Address and neighbourhood
Planty Park is a few dozen steps from the front gate, which in daily terms means your morning run and your evening walk with the dog start right at your door. The Main Market Square is a few minutes away on foot. A fifteen-minute walk separates the apartment from Błonia meadow and Jordan Park, the largest recreational area in this part of the city. The British International School of Cracow is within a seven-minute walk, without crossing any busy road.
Restaurants, cafés, bakeries and everyday shops are in the immediate vicinity. The Kraków Philharmonic, Bagatela Theatre, the National Museum and the Jagiellonian University's Collegium Novum are all within a few minutes' walk.
Worth knowing about the building and the area
The Sokół Gymnastic Society, where you can rent the parking space, is one of the oldest sports organisations in Poland, active in Kraków since 1885. Its building ranks among the most interesting examples of sports architecture in the city.
Planty Park was created in the 1820s on the site of the demolished city walls and forms a ring roughly 4 kilometres long around the Old Town, with over thirty hectares of greenery. Living by Planty means living beside a park that encircles the entire historic centre.
